About Us
24sevenbackup is a division of PC Problems, a Cork-based supplier of IT Support services since 1997. Typically, our clients are small to medium enterprises who have little, or no, in-house IT capability. We install, configure and support networked computer systems that support our client’s business functions. While our current focus is on Windows-based PC networks, we can draw also on previous expertise gained with large corporate systems employing mainframe computers.
In 2004 we identified Data Backup as being a major area of concern for SME type businesses and set about providing an automated secure system upon which our clients could rely. Our objective was to provide an easy-to-use automated 365 day-per-year service that required little user interaction.
To some extent you can ‘set it and forget it’. However, each backup to our offsite servers generates an e-mail to a designated individual in the client organisation confirming that the backup was successful. The e-mail is accompanied by the Transaction Log that lists the folders/files backed up. If there are any problems or exceptions these are also identified. In this way clients retain the ability to monitor their backups on a daily basis.
24sevenbackup is used by companies throughout Ireland. The service can be installed directly from this web site, by one of our Partner companies, or by ourselves.
An important point to emphasise about 24sevenbackup is that it is a wholly Irish-based business. ‘Offsite’ does not mean ‘Off Shore’ - the data is held in Ireland and 24sevenbackup is subject to Irish data protection and business legal requirements.
